2003 Events Attended by Record Numbers

January
Business-to-Business Networking and new Member Reception at Valley National Bank's Union Branch. Nearly 100 members and town officials were in attendance.
February
Chamber Connection Breakfast at Erhardt Gardens. Over 40 members in attendance.
March
260 members and guests attended our 48th Annual Dinner Dance and Installation of the Officers, and 35 members attended the Chamber Connection Breakfast at Mc Donald's.
April
At the Costco Consumer Expo, our members met over 5,000 business prospects. Over 50 members attended the Business-to-Business Networking and New Member Reception at Comcast's offices in Union. A number of members exhibited at the Business After Hours EXPO in Summit, where they had the opportunity to meet with over 300 prospects. Partnering with the Woman's Fund of New Jersey, we brought 80 sixth, seventh and eighth grade young women to Kean University for "Take our Daughters to Work Day."
May
100 members and guests attended the 48th Annual Gold Classic and 70 members attended the annual Mayor's Day Breakfast.
June
Both the Business-to-Business Networking and New Member reception at Commerce Bank and the Joint Legislative Breakfast at NUI Elizabeth Town Gas in partnership with the Greater Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce were well attended.
August
The 40 members who attended the Networking Breakfast at Suburban Golf Club heard from Jim Leonard from the State Chamber on the State Budgets and its affect on business.
September
With over 7,000 in attendance at our second annual Costco Consumer Expo, the event was a prime opportunity for members to find new prospects. The Business-to-Business Networking and New Member Reception at Liberty Hall Museum was held despite the hurricane and we learned more about the reactivated rail freight line coming to our area.
October
The 27th Annual Mayor's day Charity Golf Outing was a tremendous success, allowing us to donate even more money to local charities than last year. Over 40 members attended the Chamber Connection Networking Breakfast at Synergy Bank to learn about the Township's emergency management procedures from Fire Chief Fred Fretz.
November
350 people met with over 70 businesses who exhibited at the 7th Annual Chamber Business After Hours Expo. Members learned about employee lawsuits and how to avoid/deal with them at the Networking Breakfast held at The Evidence Store.
